October 2020 – six Buffalo Bikes handed over

At the beginning of October, 6 dairy farmers from the cooperative received a robust Buffalo bicycle so that they can transport their milk to the collection point in future. Without a means of transportation, the raw milk cannot be delivered within the specified time window due to a lack of refrigeration. This cannot be done on foot and is not worthwhile for smaller quantities.

Zambesi Health was once again able to fulfill the request for more milk cans and this time provided 23 cans with a capacity of 10, 12 and 20 liters. Due to the dry period, the quantity of milk delivered daily is far too low to meet demand, at around 100 liters. Yoghurt, on the other hand, is becoming increasingly popular. The amount of sour milk produced is also too small, so that selling it to Livingstone is not profitable.
